For Mom/Mum OSAAT

Good Morning!

Spring has really Sprung here in Maryland!  The birds, bees, squirels & bunnies are all chasing each other around, the flowers are blooming, it is just lovely here.  So fresh and new!  Speaking of fresh and new, have you seen the new One Stitch At A Time Blog and the Stitchy Bear Stamp Shop? They are newly decorated and so fresh, clean and easy to move around in.  I hope you will stop by both.

The challenge this week at One Stitch At A Time is for Mom/Mum.  Here is my card.

The image is Mother & Baby by Ike Sart.  Isn't it lovely? If you would like to purchase this Digital Stamp click  HERE.  I chose it to honor my own mother who passed away when I was sixteen years old.  She had a great love for the Madonna and Child.  I thought about my mom the whole time I was making this card and I think my love for her shows here.

I cut out the lacy embellishments with my Cameo Silhouette.  I really like the way these intricate designs cut on this machine.

I then distressed them with Tim Holz Distressing Ink, covered them with Perfect Medium and Fine Clear Embossing Powder and heated them.  I liked the way it turned out so well that I started inking and embossing everything....sigh...but I do like the way it turned out.

Please stop by One Stitch At A Time To see what the rest of the Design Team has created and then play along with us!  You could win $9.00 to spend at the store!

My Louie

Good Morning,

Sometime during the 55 years that I have lived on this earth, I must have done something really wonderful.  I don't know how else I could have been given the honor of raising a dog like Louie.  He is my "gentle giant" there has never been a sweeter dog ever on this earth.  I think he may be an angel.  He truly is a "Heartbeat at my feet"

I bought this digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil.  It came with 3 different dog sentiments.

Okay, are you ready?  Are you really ready?  If the kids are home, call them into the room!

Yes, that is Louie in a Hello Kitty hat!  My friend Trish made the hat for me.  Every time I take it off and put it somewhere that Lou can reach it, he steals it!  He doesn't chew on it, he just lays on it.  So I put it on him!  Even though he looks kinda sad, he didn't try to take it off!  What a sweetie he is.

He wears a sweatshirt around the house.  He is a boxer/plott hound mix, he has no undercoat so he gets cold!

Thank you for stopping by today, I appreciate all of your comments.

Isn't this cute?  He is the Miss You Bear Peeking Out A Window I thought he is perfect to tuck in my husbands suitcase when he travels.  I made the broken heat charm on the bottom with my cameo Silhouette, maybe I should have make it in gold or silver?  Anyway, thanks for stopping by and pleas stop by and play along with the design team, we have a free digital stamp for you!

Chriss

Fresh Brewed Caffeine Crazy Challenge #1

Hello,

Fresh Brewed Designs is having a really fun new challenge.  It is called Caffeine Crazy Challenge #1 and it only last for 24 hours every 5th Wednesday!  Isn't that fun?  I just LOVE crazy fun challenges like this and Fresh Brewed always seems to be coming up with new fun things to do on their blog.

So I read about this sometime last week?  I think?  I went to Fresh Brewed and bought two digital stamps so that I could play along.  I knew the challenge started at 7:00 am this morning Wednesday, January 30th.  At 4:00 am this morning, I was still awake!  I don't know why I am suddenly having trouble going to sleep!  Luckily, I was visiting my friends blogs this afternoon and I happened to stop by my blog buddy Vanessa just to see what she was doing....hooray!  She is on Fresh Brewed Design Team and I remembered this challenge.  So the challenge is..."Use Red"  Here is my card.

Here is a close up of the digital stamp Crazy In Love I just LOVE Her!

She actually looks a little like me, but my waist isn't that tiny.  I am going to give this card to my husband for Valentine's day.  The sentiment was a blank ticket that says "admit one" and I just put "my heart" inside.

Thanks for stopping by, if you have time, go by http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.com/ and play!  I might try to make another card tonight, but I don't know if I will have time.
