Friends Don't Let Friends Crop Alone

For Louie's Birthday Giveaway, Please Click HERE

Good Morning,

I have a group of four neighbors that I get together with at least once a month to crop, scrapbook, make cards and just have fun.  I saw a saying once that said "Scrapbooking is better than therapy." I think this is true.  When you find some women who all have the same hobby as you do and they all enjoy laughing & talking it is fun.  Recently I attended a crop night that was extra special to me.  We seemed extra giggly and silly, at first, we were really joking around more than usual, just so happy to be together.  As the night wore on, we got quiet and we started talking about our families, the people we had loved who had passed on, the people we had loved who had let us down when we needed them the most.  And our hopes and dreams for the future.  It was one of those nights when you really connect with each other and you know you will be friends forever.

I wanted to make a card to send to my friend Joanne to remember that fun night.  I had a digi but I could not find any "digital scrapbooking paper" so of course I went to my new friend Jane Bradshaw at Coosty Creations.  She made me a Kit!  A cute Digi of a scrapbooking bear, some scrapbooking paper and fantastic scrapbooking sayings.  You can find them all HERE at the Stitchy Bear Outlet.

Do you see how cool this paper is?  There is scissor paper, a paper filled with scrapbooking  papers and eyelet paper, perfect for a scrap page, the digital stamp couldn't be cuter, and then you have all of the sentiments!

There are so many uses for this set.  You can send a card to a fellow blogger...maybe someone that hangs up the cards you send her as a valance...hint, hint.  You could make cards to send to the winner of your blog candy, or to thank someone when you win blog candy  I love the sentiments "When in doubt, add glitter" and "Scrapbookers Do It On The Table" so funny!  Oh!  I just realized I have a bloggy friend who is a total Paper Diva!  I have to make a card for her!  To purchase the sentiments, please click HERE.

Here is a closeup of the digital stamp.

She is so cute, she just made me happy coloring her!

Here are the digital stamp & paper pack.

A Special Moment, A Lasting Memory

For Louie's Birthday Giveaway Please Click HERE

Good Morning!

I was hanging out with the One Stitch At A Time Design team a couple weeks ago and one of the creators Jane Bradshaw Coosty Creations posted a new digital stamp that she had made.  The cool thing is, she is making the digital stamp, the sentiment and the papers and selling them all together in a bundle for $3.00 what a bargain!  So this is the first one I bought.  (I got another one for my son's birthday a dinosaur that I will show you later).  This is called Daddy's Girl and it just made my heart sing.  It reminded me so much of when my daughter was little and her dad would play the guitar for her.

The original digital stamp does not have a beard & mustache, I  asked Jane permission to draw those on.  The only thing I added to this card was the little guitar brad.  The sentiment says "A special Moment, A lasting memory".  Oh so sweet!

Here is what you get when you purchase this stamp & paper pack...I know I am going to use this music paper a lot!

Just a reminder that it is "Anything Goes" over at  Just Some Lines and as always there is a free digital stamp for you to play with!  Today, I made a bookmark for my next-door neighbor who is graduating from elementary school!  I can not believe it!  It seems like only yesterday he was a two year old playing with my vacuum cleaner (his favorite toy) and now he is going to middle school!  I made the bookmark in his school colors purple & silver.

This cute digital stamp is called "Emo Graduate Alex" and you can purchase him HERE.  Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you will stop by http://justsomelinesblog.blogspot.com/ pick up your free digital stamp and play along with our wonderful design team!

Good Morning!

A benefit of being on a close knit Design Team and working with fantastic artists is that when you ask for a particular drawing you get it.  My future daughter in law Sarah received her Ph.D yesterday (hooray).  We are having a party for her on Sunday.  Sarah collects lambs.  I asked the One Stitch At A Time artist for a digital stamp of a lamb wearing a graduation cap and here it is!

This digital stamp was drawn by the wonderful Alison Johnson. (Alipeeps Art)  If you would like to purchase it you can find it  HERE .  Stop by the The Stitchy Bear Outlet to see all of her great designs.  I really like the way this lamb looks almost 3-D like his little head is going to pop out of the card!  Since the lamb didn't have that much color, I used the Color Palette Challenge at Docerela Stamps for the card.

I came up with the sentiment all by myself!  It says "You are so baaa-rainy!" get it brainy?  I am very proud of that, lol!

This card is going to go along with a stuffed lamb that Louie is going to give Sarah.  The shirt on the stuffed lamb says "Congratulations Doctor Sarah" So cute!

Card From My Copic Coloring Class

For Louie's Birthday Giveaway Click HERE

Good Morning!

Today I would like to show you a card I made from a digital stamp that I colored in my Copic Coloring Class.  We are getting quite advanced here.  This lesson was for coloring skin realistically.  For the first time ever, I used the BV000 and BV00 on the skin tone.  Think about it.  We all have that color in our faces, under our eyes, our noses cast a shadow to our upper lip area and then our lower lip cast a shadow to our chin.  So here is my first attempt at realistic shadowing.  The digital stamp is from A Day for Daisies, it is called Eskimo Kisses.  I think this is a perfect digital stamp for Mother's Day.

Can you believe I made the doily with my Cameo Silhouette?  I am so in love with that machine!  I also made the lacy border with my Cameo.

Recipe for Card
Digital Stamp - A Day for Daisies
Copic Markers - Skin -  E0000, E00, E11, E13, E04, BV000, BV00

Good Morning!

Spring has really Sprung here in Maryland!  The birds, bees, squirels & bunnies are all chasing each other around, the flowers are blooming, it is just lovely here.  So fresh and new!  Speaking of fresh and new, have you seen the new One Stitch At A Time Blog and the Stitchy Bear Stamp Shop? They are newly decorated and so fresh, clean and easy to move around in.  I hope you will stop by both.

The challenge this week at One Stitch At A Time is for Mom/Mum.  Here is my card.

The image is Mother & Baby by Ike Sart.  Isn't it lovely? If you would like to purchase this Digital Stamp click  HERE.  I chose it to honor my own mother who passed away when I was sixteen years old.  She had a great love for the Madonna and Child.  I thought about my mom the whole time I was making this card and I think my love for her shows here.

I cut out the lacy embellishments with my Cameo Silhouette.  I really like the way these intricate designs cut on this machine.

I then distressed them with Tim Holz Distressing Ink, covered them with Perfect Medium and Fine Clear Embossing Powder and heated them.  I liked the way it turned out so well that I started inking and embossing everything....sigh...but I do like the way it turned out.

Please stop by One Stitch At A Time To see what the rest of the Design Team has created and then play along with us!  You could win $9.00 to spend at the store!

Good Morning,

Today I have a little rainy day card.  I think it is pretty cool because I bought the paper from the Cameo Silhouette Store!  I sized the paper the size I wanted and the card the size I wanted.  Very fun!

The digital stamp is from Just Some Lines.   It is a really cute Spring Time Value Set, but I just used the little girl this time.  I think I am going to make up the whole set soon.

I love that cherry blossom.  We went to DC and saw the Cherry Blossoms this year so I think I will use that on a layout.

Good Morning!

I can not believe that today is my next door neighbor's 13th birthday!  He was such a tiny fella when he moved in next door and now he is so grown up and much, much taller than me...a fact that he loves!

Happy Birthday Brian!

I wish you a lovely day, not just today because it is your birthday, but all year round. May you always wake up in the morning with a smile on your face. Happy Birthday to you.

This digital stamp is from A Day for Daisies.  I really like this image.  Brian has a black lab named Molly that he has had since he was two or three years old.  She is a good ol' dog.

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches I thought the pendants made the sketch look masculine and perfect for a boys card.

Masculine Get Well Card

Good Morning,

Today I would like to show you a masculine get well card that I made for one of my husband's co-workers.

I used Just Rite Anchors Away Stamps and Spellbinders Oval Medallions die cuts that were made to go this the stamp.

I want to show you the really cool thing I did with my Cameo Silhouette.  I wanted some paper that looked like a map.  I went to the Silhouette store and put "map" into the search and bought some map paper.  I then chose a card that I already owned.  Printed it out on my printer and then cut it out on my Cameo.  Here is a screenshot of the process.

Oh it is so much fun!  Do you know I do not own a stamp that says "Get Well" or "Thinking of you" I can't believe with a scrapbook room so chocked full of stuff, I don't.  So I used little alphas on the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  I like the way it looks.  Kinda vintage.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I appreciate all of your comments!
