For Mom/Mum OSAAT

Good Morning!

Spring has really Sprung here in Maryland!  The birds, bees, squirels & bunnies are all chasing each other around, the flowers are blooming, it is just lovely here.  So fresh and new!  Speaking of fresh and new, have you seen the new One Stitch At A Time Blog and the Stitchy Bear Stamp Shop? They are newly decorated and so fresh, clean and easy to move around in.  I hope you will stop by both.

The challenge this week at One Stitch At A Time is for Mom/Mum.  Here is my card.

The image is Mother & Baby by Ike Sart.  Isn't it lovely? If you would like to purchase this Digital Stamp click  HERE.  I chose it to honor my own mother who passed away when I was sixteen years old.  She had a great love for the Madonna and Child.  I thought about my mom the whole time I was making this card and I think my love for her shows here.

I cut out the lacy embellishments with my Cameo Silhouette.  I really like the way these intricate designs cut on this machine.

I then distressed them with Tim Holz Distressing Ink, covered them with Perfect Medium and Fine Clear Embossing Powder and heated them.  I liked the way it turned out so well that I started inking and embossing everything....sigh...but I do like the way it turned out.

Please stop by One Stitch At A Time To see what the rest of the Design Team has created and then play along with us!  You could win $9.00 to spend at the store!

  9. Your card is beautiful and I'm sure your mother would have loved it. My mother died when I was 20 - many years ago, but I think of her every day. I called here earlier today but your card wasn't here! Hazel x
