Birthday Card For My Sister

Good Morning,

How is everyone doing?  Out of curiosity, do any of my followers know someone who is sick with the coronavirus?  We have been very lucky so far, no one is sick.

Today is the first day of Spring and my sister's birthday.  My sister is a super talented seamstress.  She makes costumes for local theaters.  So I remembered this card from a very old SVG Cuts File called Sewing Card.  They are giving away some free files at SVG Cuts right now.

Here is my card:

Isn't that fun?

I really like the pin cushion, so I put some pins in it!  I don't know if you can tell from the photo that I embossed the cushion and leaves with my small dot embossing folder. The brads are from doodlebug design and the twine is from Trendy Twine.

Here is the inside:

The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart.  My Consultant is Diana Larson.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cuttlebug Mania - Happy Birthday!
Shopping Our Stash - #416 Happy Birthday
Heart 2 Heart - Vintage Vibes
Dragonfly Dreams - Make it Feminine
The Library Challenge - #55 How to Embroider Almost Anything

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope that you and yours are doing well!

Hugs,

  3. What a fabulous card Chriss - love the theme and how you have embossed the pincushion and added pins!
We have had one case in our (small) town - a traveler who came home last week. As yet we, as a nation, have had no community spread cases, all have been traced to international travel.
    Stay safe

  6. Such a lovely card for your sister! I love the shape and how it's designed specifically with her and her amazing talent in mind! I think that's the best part of handmade cards - being able to create something special for someone just as special!
