Water You Up To?

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is enjoying these last weeks of summer.  Did you have a favorite summer treat when you were a child?  My favorites were Root-beer Popsicles or delicious creamy dreamsicles!  When I was small and the icecream truck came around my parents would buy 5 cent popsicles and cut them in half because I had so many brothers and sisters we only got half a Popsicle.   I never remember ever hearing anyone complain about only getting half.  It just was how it was, we wore hand-me-down clothes, sometimes hand-me-down shoes.  With 13 brothers and sisters, we all had to share.  Then when I was 11, I got a baby sitting job and I could buy my own!  I started buying 10 cent orange dreamsicles oh what a luxury!

Here is my card:

I love this digital stamp!  It is by Mo's Digital Pencil I got it when it was on sale.  I love red headed boys.  I have always said there is nothing sweeter in this world than a 7 or 8 year old boy.  They are full of mischief but so sweet!  I love this image with the dreamsicle in one hand and the squirt gun in the other!

Here is the inside of the card:

I thought these stamps were perfect for this card.  I can't tell you where I got them because I have had them for over 7 years!

  1. You came from a really big family Chriss!! Lots of brothers and sisters and I bet a lot of love too. I hear you on the hand me downs because that's what we wore too. I was always excited at Christmas because we got one outfit that wasn't handed down and it wasn't hand sewn either. I also remember those wonderful Dreamsicles - Yummy for sure!!!!

  3. Your card is so cute! Love the adorable image! WOW! that's a lot of siblings! I thought 6 was enough! hahaha We also got hand me downs and had to share things like ice cream and such.. it's just the way it was.... I also got a babysitting job to pay for things I wanted like clothes or shoes or even my own box of pop tarts! YUP! I loved those... We would even have to write our names on those things otherwise they were free game... I also remember walking to the corner bar/store and buying a bottle of coke... ahhh... just sitting outside in the Summer with a bottle of soda was wonderful! :) Have a great day!
