Oriental Maiden

Good Morning,

Last weekend we drove into Washington, DC to see the Cherry Blossoms.  We do this every year.  Sadly this year, we didn't get out of the car, my ankles are still too weak for walking.

No matter how many times I see the Cherry Blossoms, I am still impressed.  In
1912  a gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The gift and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries.

I decided to make a card with the digital stamp by Moonflower Stamps called Maiko in Spring  My colors were inspired by The Card Concept challenge #91 "Blossoms in Blue".

Here is my card.  I used digital Cherry Blossom Paper from FrouFrou Craft.  I distressed the paper with sandpaper.  I have had the blossoms for many years so I am not sure where it came from.  I put liquid pearls "Rose Gold" around the flowers and I added a bit of lace on the side.

Here is a close-up of the image.

I colored her with copic markers.

Here is the inside of the card.

The stamp is from Stampendous.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The Card Concept - #91 Blossoms in Blue

Colour Crazy Challenge - week 16 - ATG
