March of the Tin Soldiers Gift Bag

Good Morning My Friends,

I hope that all of my USA friends had a lovely Thanksgiving.  My husband has been off of work for nine days and I have really enjoyed the time with him.  I don't want him to go back!  Hopefully he only has six more years until retirement when we can be together all the time.  We have been married for 40 years and together for 43 years and yet we never run out of things to talk about or fun things to do.  That is one of the advantages of marrying your best friend.

So today is a new Challenge at International Art and Soul.  A groovy laid back group of women who enjoy crafting together.  The challenge today is Ribbons and Bows.

Here is my project.

This bag is huge!  It is 10" high!  It takes three pieces of 12x12 paper to make.  I used my very thick good paper.  For the front I used Authentique Festive "Yuletide" collection.  As you can see, I placed a bow on the handle and used red buttons for the berries on the holly. I chalked the nose with my PowderPuff chalks from Quick Quote.

Here is the side of the bag.  I used Graphic45 "Toy Soldier Parade" Playtimes Past Collection.

Here is the back of the bag.  I used Authentique Festive "Jolly" Collection.

I am planning to give a gift in this bag to someone who really enjoys my crafts!

I am entering this gift bags into the following challenge:

Allsorts Challenge Blog - #443 Inspired by a  Christmas Carol or Winter themed song -  March of the Tin Soldiers

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Please go by International Art & Soul to see the fun projects that my DT Sisters have made!  I look forward to seeing your projects there too!

Hugs,

  9. This bag is just adorable. My kids were in the Nutcracker each year so we have so many solider items since they were all one at some point in their dance career, hehe.
