Fresh Brewed Designs - Make It Pop!

Good ...late afternoon ladies!

Sorry I am so late posting, more about that later.  Here is a card that I made for one of my "Breezy Point Beach Buddies" you know, the under 7 year old crowd that I regularly hang with.  Today is Hallie's 7th birthday.  I wanted to make a card for Fresh Brewed Design's Monthly Challenge this month it is "Make It Pop" sorry Heather I could not find a girl digi with a balloon so this little gal is from Little Miss Muffett Luna Bitterfrost Birthdays Rock.

Can you see that one of the balloons is 3-D?  I used Pebbles Dimensional Circles.  All of the rest of the paper & sentiments came from K&Company Confetti I won this paper line awhile ago and it sure has come in handy~

Okay now my sad tail of why I am so late posting.  We took Chrissy's Wish out for a fishing trip yesterday afternoon across the bay.  When we started our trip the bay was so calm it looked like glass.  On our way across the bay we saw a tall ship coming out of Balitmore.  I had to share it with you just because it was so cool to see.

Isn't that gorgeous?  I wish we could have seen her under sail.  Here is another view.

Wow!  So cool!

So we were all the way over on the Eastern side of the Chesapeake Bay when I suddenly felt a change.  I told Matt that we needed to turn around and move.  Instead of turning around and heading for home, we decided to "fish our way back" which meant trolling at a very slow speed of about 21/2 miles per hour.  By the time we were about 10 miles out from the Marina, we were in 3 -4' swells in our tiny 19' boat!  We all stayed very calm, we were both laughing and joking. But is was scary!

Most of you know that I have something called Meniere's disease.  It is an inner-ear disorder that gives me vertigo.  It truly is a wonder I can go out on the boat at all. But I love the bay so much, I just take a medication called anti-vert and I am usually fine.  Last night, I woke up at 1:00 am soaked in sweat and riding the waves!  My bed had become our boat and it was rough seas below me!  Oh I was SICK~ so here it is 3:00 in the afternoon and it hasn't let up, I still have the feeling of riding the waves!

So here is my question for you.  What is it that you love so much, you just can't give it up, even if it were it make you sick.  Come on!  I know some of you gals from Fresh Brewed will say coffee...

Hugs,

  4. What an awesome card, Chriss!! I love the sweet image and the dimensional balloons are fabulous!! The pic of the tall ship is so beautiful!! It would have been sweet to see it in full sail!! Sorry you are not feeling well though, my friend. My weakness...something I can't give up even though it could make me sick is salt. I am a bona fide salt-a-holic :) Feel better soon!!
