Well I am starting to plan our 4th of July party. Every year Breezy Point Beach has a community parade, this year, the theme is War of 1812. We are having friends over for a cookout and to go watch fireworks from our boat. I decided I wanted to go with a "vintage" look. So here are some of my projects so far.
First I will show you the Invitation. I used the Cricut Cartridge "A Child's Year", Oval Spellbinders, K. Andrew's "Sweet July" sentiment set (just got this in the mail yesterday! LOVE it!) red, white & blue twine and hey! Some stickers! Wow, haven't used stickers in a long time! I have to make some more of these and get them in the mail!
Next I will show you this cute little jar. I got a vintage image from off of the internet for free. If you google free Vintage 4th of July Image a bunch will pop up. I used my Spellbinders Labels Nineteen in Bazzill bright red for the background layered the image on top, glued it inside the jar.
Here is the top. Right now the jar is filled with tissue paper, but I will fill it with candy!
Now I will show you the box I made with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More2. I once again got an image from off of the internet, "fussy cut" it and then added stickel to the stars around the edge.
Do you want to see what is going to go into this box....ummm....my homemade strawberry fudge!
I know this isn't the prettiest picture. I freeze it until the day before and then cut it...oh it is good! I am going to give the box & fudge to the organizers of the Breezy Point Parade to thank them for their hard work. Thank you for stopping by today. I can't wait to see your 4th of July projects! ReplyDeleteAll your treats look marvelous. Where do we store all these boxes?!?! I want to make 20 Back to School treat bags (once I decide which cut) and then 20 more for birthdays and something for Christmas). I have NO room for all that! BUT I want to make them! Hmm...what to do?!?! : )

Georgiana, I am really into making these treat bags too! We have to come up with an idea of where to store the ones we keep. This bag is BIG! I made both sides of the first box (gable box) on the "fit to page" setting it makes a really nice sized box. I am hoping to make all of the bags & boxes on all of my cricut carts this summer...maybe cut them but not assemble them until I am ready to use them?
