Sorry I have been missing from this blog for so long. I had surgery on my ankle and it was a little more complicated than I thought it would be. I decided to make this Explosion Easter Box for my surgeon's assistant, she has been so nice to me!
But I am back in time for International Art & Soul's new challenge - #56 Easter.
Warning: This post is very long with lots of photos so please grab a cup or coffee or tea and join me....there is a prize giveaway at the end!
A lot of you know by now that one of my favorite go to places for svg files is Dreaming Tree. I found this Easter Frolics Bundle with an Explosion Box! I haven't made an explosion box in years and this one looked so cute!
Here is the box:
Here is the top of the box. I made some "ribbon flowers". I also used pop up foam tape on the paper side flower to make it pop. The Patterned Easter Paper is from Echo Park "Hello Easter".
Here is the box exploded:
My husband told me that he thought my chicks and bunnies looked sad. I almost remade them but then he told me they were cute. What do you think? As you can see, I did a lot of inking and embossing. I used Cuttlebugs swiss dots embossing folder and Cuttlebug devine swirl.
This is the cute little tag that goes with it. The stamp is from Echo Park "Hello Easter".
Front of tag, used some sparkly paper from DCWV.
Congratulations! You make it to the end of this post! Here is a little prize giveaway. For those of you that work with svg files you know that picking up and gluing those teeny tiny pieces can be a chore. Silhouette came up with this nifty little tool. I use mine so much, I decided to give one of you the chance to win one.
