Altered Box

Hello My Friends and Welcome Visitors,

 Last year, I made an altered box for someone.  When my sister Cathy saw it on facebook she told me she wanted me to make her one. I live in Maryland and she lives in Tennessee. So um...I started making it...I have been working on this box on and off for over a year.  The good news is that Cathy's birthday is August 25th, so I actually have time to get it in the mail before her birthday!  I like making little gifts for my family but I am terrible at mailing them!  Anyone else have this problem?

 So here is the box for my sissy.  Warning picture heavy, you might want to grab your coffee or tea.


The box is decorated on the outside with Graphic45 Time to Flourish paper.  Of course I used the August paper.


The inside of the box is decorated with a speciality paper that I ordered (can you see that it says Tennessee?) I also used a laser cut of the word Tennessee.  On a sad note I had purchased a laser cut of a bear in a tree and I lost it!  I have searched my craft room high and low, it is just gone!  





This sentiment means a lot to me.  In some of my darkest days this past year, my sister was there for me and kept reminding me that there are brighter days ahead, that everyone encounters set backs and hard times and that you just need to put feet on the floor in the morning and keep on going!
