Birthday Card for my Sister

Good morning friends & welcome visitors,

Sorry I am so late posting today, I am in "puppy love".  Oh this little puppy is so sweet he is also a lot of work.  Today I spent the morning clearing off my deck and blowing it with a leaf blower because he puts every leaf he finds in his mouth.  Luckily, he will allow me to open his mouth and take it back out!  If you would like to see a photo of Duncan the pup, please go to the post below.

So I have really gotten into these box cards.  They are 'work intense" but I love the way they turn out.  Here is a card I made for my sister.  I embossed the nest with my wood emboss folder and the panels with my leaf emboss folder.  These are my two favorite "go to" embossing folders, I like to dry emboss because my hubby bought me a Cut n' Boss for my birthday and it is always fun to use!

This is what it looks like folded flat for mailing.  I love that SVGCuts gives you the file for the envelope too!

Recipe for this card:

SVGCuts - Springtime Box Cards
Paper - My Minds Eye - Fine & Dandy Patterened Paper & Bazzill
Chalking - Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalks
Embossing - leaf folder & wood folder
brads from stash

  1. Beautiful birthday card! The 16th was my birthday and I didn't even hear from my sister! Such is life...
I love hearing about Duncan. We also adopted a Siamese cat we named Coco soon after our Yoda was gone. I wasn't sure I was ready to get another pet, but she has certainly taken our hearts! And our beds, and our couches, and anyplace else she decides she wants to be...
