3GirlJam Design Team Post

Good Morning Friends & Welcome Visitors!

Today is my day to host over on the 3GirlJam Blogspot.

I have a project that I worked on for some time.  My husband & I have prescription bottles that we take medicine from every day.  I did not want the bottles sitting out in view when company came so I made this box.

On the front of the box, I used the gold jute from the 3GirlJam Jute/Ribbon/String Pack.  The paper is from Graphic45 By the Sea and the knob & feet are from Tim Holz.

I made the flowers from the Red, White & Blue Crinkle Ribbon Bundle which I think looks quite nautical.  The buttons have string from the Jute/String Pack.  In honor of Earth Day, I used packaging from a bag of oranges to make a "fence" across the front.  The lighthouse and sentiment nautical as well as the anchor on front are from Authentique Anchored.  I used Mudd Puddles Sand and all of the bling is from my stash.

Here is a close up of the flowers I made.  I started with a circle punch and just twisted the crinkle ribbon attaching it occasionally with a glue gun, then I added some bling in the center.

I did not paint the edges of the inside of the box because I kinda liked the rough nautical look.  What do you think?  Should I paint it?

So that is my project for today.  I want to remind you that you can get the Spring Flowers Crinkle Ribbon Bundle for only $1.00 when you make a purchase at the 3GirlJam shop this month.
