Masquerade Mask

Hello My Friends,

Pinque Peacock is having a really fun challenge.  It is called "Altered Mask".  I have seen these mask before and have always wanted to try making one.  Since we always have a big Real Family St. Patrick's day party; I thought this would be perfect!  I am going to wear this and see if my drunk relatives can guess who I am.  Here is the finished mask.

I purchased the mask, flower and shamrock gems from the Pink Peacock Store.  I covered the mask with a mixture of Elmer's glue & warm water and then sprinkled it with Martha Stewart very fine "Peridot" glitter.  I made the feathers and flourish from gold foil paper.  The feathers can be found at the Silhouette Store. The flourish is from a die cut.

I hot glued the feathers & flower together.  I decided to add a shamrock gem to the top of the flower and then I just got carried away and added more gems underneath the flower too.

Here is the gold swirl with some more shamrock gems added.

I had some gold ric rack that I hot glued around the eyes and to the top of the mask.

The mask holder is a chop stick.  The ribbon is from my stash.

I am entering this mask into the following challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope that you will try your hand at making a mask and join the fun!
I am without a printer for awhile (I have my laptop) so I am going to be making some things that don't involve digital stamps until I get my printer back and my big computer put back together.  Let's see what I can come up with!

Hugs,
