Tea Time With The Daisies!

Hello Friends,

As most of you know, I am a Daisy Girl Scout Leader.  We are getting ready to have a "Mom's Tea" with the girls and their mothers.  First I want to show you a placemat that I made with my Cameo Silhouette.

Isn't that fun?  The leader that is having the party at her house has clear plates, so the plates will sit on top and this mat will show through.

This afternoon, I had two of my Daisies over to the house to make "Tea Party Hats" Oh My Gosh!  We had so much fun.  First of all, I saw the cutest blog for making hats, with a hairband & paper bowls.  If you would like to see them, go HERE.  Well, my girls weren't having it.  One of the biggest goals in Girl Scouting is to foster Independent Girls so I gave them some other ideas.  We finally settled with making crowns on my Cameo Silhouette, then I gave them feathers, ribbons, gems and flowers and they went to work.

Look how sweet and serious Megan looks, she is measuring out that ribbon like a real pro.

Now those are some hats worthy of a tea party!  It's funny that I don't have any grandchildren of my own but I am blessed and delighted to spend my life in the company of children!  I am so thankful every day for every one of them.  And...I am thankful for you my dear friends!  Thank you for stopping by, leaving me a little comment and brightening my life!

Oh!  Let me mention that I have to enter this into the Decorate To Celebrate Challenge that is going on right now, not to win, just to give the Design Team a smile!

Hugs,

They look adorable, and you certainly DID give me a smile today (but, then again, you always do with your generosity and kindness -- YOU ROCK, my friend!!).
