Veterans Day

Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the skies
All is well, safely rest;
God is nigh.

Thinking of all of our Veterans today.  How can we ever thank them for their service?

Here is my card, I decided to make one to celebrate the marines 236th Birthday!   Semper Fidelis!

And I had to include some pictures of my own dear veteran, my dad Pappa Joe America (yes, his name is Joe America) 92 years young and still going.

Let us never forget!

  4. Hi Chriss, Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog and becoming a follower. I'm following you now too.

    You asked me several questions today (: one was about printing digital images on cardstock. I have a HP Laser printer and an HP OfficeJet printer and both take cardstock well. For Copic coloring I used Neenah Solar White 80 lb. and Copic X Press it blending card. I also use the laser printer for printing digital images so the printer ink doesn't smear when I touch it with my markers.

    I loved seeing the photos of your Dad too, mine was also a veteran of WWII but he's gone now.

    Have a great weekend!

    Hugs, Jan

  12. I just like looking at vintage photos. I'm thankful for the men (including my hubby who was in the Air Force serving in Vietnam, my Father who served in the Army in WWII and my brother who was in the Navy) & women who have served & gave us our freedom. I upgraded & put your new button in place of former button on my blog sidebar.
