Try Something New Thursday

Hello Friends,
My friend at Lets Scrap Teresa Davis came up with a really fun challenge.  Use Scrapbook Items to create a decor of your choice.  http://letsscrap.ning.com/forum/topics/challenge-115  I had bought this box at a sale at Michael's last year and decided to take Teresa up on her challenge.
Here is what the box looked like when I bought it.
I was so glad I took a picture of it before I spray painted it because putting it back together and getting all of the little boxes to fit isn't easy.  I googled "Vintage Halloween Images" and lots of free images came up, I then printed them out on  high quality artist paper.  I cut a piece of card board the same size as the pictures, attached black paper to that and then the picture to give it dimension.  Everything is attached into the boxes with Foam Tape.  If I want the item to stick out more from the box, I just added more foam tape.  Here is the shadow box without the banner.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you all try something new! Hugs,

  4. So cute! I just love the Halloween theme and great take on the challenge. Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog about the baby pics. That seems to be the only creative thing I've had time to do lately; but I'm hoping soon! :)
