Birthday Card For My Sister

Hello Everyone,

We had quite an exciting day yesterday.  We had our first earthquake!  (or it was the first one I ever remember feeling) so here is the problem, Louie is still freaked out!  He could not get to sleep last night, he paced up and down all night jumped in and out of our bed (he never got in our bed before last night) finally at 4:30 am I gave him 2 benadryl just so he would sleep for awhile.  He is still terrified today.  Can anyone tell me what to do?  I would appreciate any help especially from you CA gals!
So here is my card for today.  I made it for my sister Cathy who is 11 months younger than me and who loves animals even more than I do!
I used my Cricut Imagine Better Together and the stamp is from My Pink Stamper Puny Sayings.

  1. Hi! How are you holding up? are you nervous too? what did you do when you felt it?

I don't know what to tell you! My dogs recover quickly after earthquakes. I guess they're used to it, lol. Can Lou sit next to you on the couch and get cuddled for a while? can he sleep with you on the bed and get cuddled until he falls asleep?

Or...For one of my dogs, it helps to act like he's making a big deal about it. I tell him he's ok and act like nothing's wrong. He was scared of so many things!

How about classical music? mostly piano. That relaxes dogs. My dogs listen to classical a lot.

    Best wishes for Lou!

  2. Hey Chriss-love the card, so cute!

I am in MD too and in Bethesda it was crazy at work. We do not have any pets so I am sorry I do not have any advice, hopefully it will just take him a few days to get back to normal. Like him, I was up a ton of times last night, everytime I fell asleep I woke up freaked out thinking there had been another one. Yikes. The things we are not used to dealing with I guess!

    Good luck with Lou.
