INAS #60

Good Morning,

This will be my last post until August 4th.  I am taking a break, when I come back, I am going to have a huge prize giveaway with lots of chances to win.  If you are not a follower, follow now so that you don't miss out.

My maiden name was America...it was such a fun name that I had to keep it!  I have always loved the color combination of red, white and blue.  I love making things for the 4th of July.

We have a new challenge over at International Art & Soul, the theme for this fortnight is "Stars and/or Stripes".  Of course I immediately thought of 4th of July and I went to my go-to store Dreaming Tree

I found this Stars and Stripes Banner that I thought would be fun to make.  It was!  Do you know I had never made a Rosette?  They are so easy, I will be making them all the time!

It is really hard to take good photos of banners, LOL.  I promise you, it looks much better in person than in the photo.

Here is the large Rosette that goes in the center:

Here is the smaller Rosette:

This is what it looks like on the end:

Here is the recipe for this banner:

Paper -  Gold Foil, White, Silver and Red glitter paper, Authentique "Liberty"
Ink - Powder Puff by Quick Quotes
Bling - My Paper Studio Gemstones
Ribbon - Offray Wired Ribbon (bought at Joann's)

I am entering this banner into the following challenges:

Ellibelle's Corner - June/July Challenge - Summer Scenes, Summer Treats or Summer Colors
Papercraft Challenge - #39 No Cards

Thank you so much for stopping by!  See you in a month!  Don't forget to become a follower so you can win a prize when I get back!

I hope to see you over at International Art & Soul for your Stars and/or Stripes projects!

Hugs,

  2. Such a great banner Chriss. Rosettes are great fun to make, small ones a bit fiddly but well worth the effort. I have a Tim Holtz die I picked up in a sale ages ago that makes rosettes, remember one year must have made about 50 of them for Christmas Cards lol.

  4. Gorgeous rosette, and yes I found them fairly easy and fun to make as well. However, my biggest problem was keeping it all together in a rosette shape while I hot glued the thing to a cardboard disk!
