Aurora Wings is having a challenge #71 Inspired by Music.  I immediately thought of a song my mom used to sing when I was very small.  Here it is:  The Song of the Acorn Fairy

Here are some of the lyrics:

The Song of the Acorn Fairy, an autumn Flower Fairy poem: To English folk the mighty oak Is England's noblest tree; Its hard-grained wood is strong and good As English hearts can be.

In some part of my mind I seem to remember a story about an Acorn Prince too, sadly that is long forgotten. But it spurred my imagination.  I still remember taking the tops off of Acorns and putting them on my dolls for hats!

I was willing to start again because I had an idea in my mind of what this image would look like and it took two tries to get it right!
