Can you believe it is September already?  Yikes!  10 days till my 60th birthday..double yikes!

As some of you know, I love to color with my copic markers.  I took the beginning and intermediate copic coloring classes and I had been coloring based on the things I learned in those classes over 5 years ago.  I started to notice that a lot of my friends had taken a giant leap in their coloring expertize.  I also noticed that many of them were taking classes from a on-line coloring class called Kit and Clowder.  So I signed up for the monthly class.  

Here is my first try at the class.  One of the things that I like is that they teach "dark to light" coloring whilst I learned it "light to dark"  I would always look at my darker copics and sigh because I never could figure out how to use them, but I used them a lot in this class.  The other thing that I really like is that I can watch her color on video and I can also print out the instructions in case I get lost.

Here is a close-up of my little fairy girl.  Notice that her wings are transparent...fun...also notice how her feet and the book in the grass have pressed down the grass around them..never did that before.  I had to draw clouds in the background and discovered I can't draw clouds..lol..I also went a little crazy with the white pen  I learned how to draw in a bridge of the nose and to color the eyeglasses.  I am going to sign up to take the hair and skin class.  Anyone want to take it with me?  If you do, please click HERE I get $10.00 for every person I refer.
