Oh Buoy! Nautical Decoration

Hello my friends!

I have missed you all so much!  I never believed when I decided to take a break that I would be gone so long.  I hope that you are all well and that your families are thriving.  How have you been?  Happy Summer!

Even though I haven't been in my craft room very much, I have made a few projects.  Here is one.

I have fish netting on the gazebo on my deck.  It looked a little empty so I decide to give it a little more decoration.  I started with plain buoys that I purchased from amazon.com.

I attached some nautical stickers to them and then painted over the stickers with Heavy Gesso White.  When that dried, I sprayed them with Krylon Matte Finish.

Warning: picture heavy, you may want to get a cup of coffee or tea...

This is the finished net with the buoys attached.

This was a fun project that I really enjoyed.  I am entering this project into the following challenges:

Decorate to Celebrate - Challenge 12 Anything Goes
OLLCB - Challenge #207 Sand, Sun & Sea

Now for news about my puppy Duncan.  He is a hand full!  I feel like I have a two year old running around the house again.  His personality is very different from Louie's (even  though he looks more like Louie every day) he is super out going, very fearless and funny!  We are taking him to obedience classes but this dog only obeys when he feels like it!  In keeping with the nautical theme, here his is out on our boat....yes, he is hanging off the side..luckily we taught him how to swim in our pool and bought him a life jacket!

Thank you for stopping by!  Hope to be around more this summer!

Hugs,
