Good Day My Friends and Welcome Visitors!
Today I would like to show you a birthday gift that I made. I used one of my Quick Quote Kits; I love them because they are so easy to use and they give you an idea of where to start and you end up with your own creation. So...here was the Quick Quote Shadowbox Kit..remember you can click on the picture to make it bigger...
And this is what I made with it.
I started out by coloring the sides of the canvas with Blue Jeans & Feather Gray Powder Puff Chalking Ink. I then used the papers that came with the kit as patterns to cut the papers I wanted to use. The blue paper is Graphic 45 By the Sea and the orange, brown blue stripped paper is a very old paper from BoBunny called Paradise. I then edged all of the rest of the pieces that came from the kit in Powder Puff Coral Chalking Ink.
The photo is Sharps Island Lighthouse it is a special place out in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay that we like to visit. It is kinda lonely & spooky, but really cool. The day we took this picture, it was showing off for us. I chose the BoBunny paper to reflect the it's beautiful rust colors.
This "Moments" sentiment came with the kit. I chalked it, added a different color behind it and some pearls.
Do you see that metal flower? I received an entire bag of them with the kit! I love using it because the lighthouse is metal too. The cardboard flowers & flourishes came with the kit and I just chalked them with coral. The other flowers are from the Prima Seashore Collection as is the flair at the top.
Ride the waves is from Prima Seashore also, all of the pearls are from Prima e. See the little sea-gull sitting on a barrel? He is 3-D, I bought him on e-bay a long time ago. He sits right in the frame.
Well that was certainly a long post! Thanks for hanging in there with me!
