Cards for a Tuesday Afternoon

Here are two cards that I created using the talented Debby D's sketch at Let's Scrap. http://letsscrap.ning.com/  If you are ever stuck for an idea for a layout sketch or a card sketch, Let's Scrap is the place to go!  They have fantastic sketches there!

Here is my first card ~
In keeping with the "Let's Scrap Our Stash" Challenge at Let's Scrap I used the prize that I recently won from Peggy Sue, K& Company Paper & Embellies by Susan Winget.
Here is my second card.  Can you tell that they were made using the same sketch? ~

Once again, I used my stash, Alaphabet Soup "Lovely" Paper and Alaphabet Soup "Playing Cards for Girls"

Here is another little tip.  When I am done with my project, if I have a little strip of paper left over, I have a paper button punch that I bought from http://www.paperwishes.com/ I very quickly punch some buttons with the leftover paper add it to my embellishment bag and then I will have some buttons if I need them next time!

  1. Using scraps is the whole idea, right? Nice work!

  2. The button punch is so cool! I use a teeny-tiny star punch, but something larger would probably be much easier for scraps!

  3. Beautiful job on the cards Chriss. Like your idea about using up your scraps with the button punch. Hmmm I have never seen a button punch, I might have to check them out.
