Let's Scrap Sketch 10-8-14

Good Morning My Friends & Welcome Visitors!

 Today is a new challenge at Let's Scrap.  The sketch is wonderful!


I am so glad I was accepted on to this design team!  I have really let my scrap-booking go; and have concentrated more on card making.  But, when my grown children come home, the first thing they want to do is look at my scrapbooks.
Here is my "take" on the sketch.  (You can click on the picture to make it larger) this was a day last fall when my next door neighbors who are my "pretend" children & grandchildren came over to our house and helped us create a haunted graveyard in our front yard.  It was such a fun day!  I love the picture of my pretend daughter Jen, her daughter Megan & me all in fun hats!  The sad part is that they will be moving away....Just up the street...but they won't be our wonderful neighbors anymore.   i am going to miss them so much!  Just watching the kids come home from school every day....but I know they need a bigger house...so I know they have to go.

 Wow!  That was much longer than I meant it to be, but this is why scrap-booking is so important. The memories of those days should be saved and cherished.  They shouldn't sit on your computer or in your camera.  They need to be in a scrapbook where you can look and remember all the love & friendship you shared.

    Lovely layout, and I also enjoyed reading your blog post. It's wonderful that your kids still ask to see your scrapbooks when they visit. Just shows how important the memories are to them too, and a perfect reason to get back into scrapping! This year I got back into scrapbooking after a few years break, so I know exactly how you feel :)
