Good Morning!
Welcome to another Die Cut Tuesday Link Up!
You know what that means! There is a freebie waiting for you over at My Paper Crafting World!
Today I have made a layout and it comes with a little story, so you might want to get a cup of coffee or tea before you sit back to read. I can hear some of you groaning "oh no, another of Chriss' yarns" but this is a good one. My son is a film student and he and his fiance traveled out of state to see the showing of The Blob in the original theater where it was first shown. I am making them a scrapbook and of course I wanted to scrap this event. I need gooy, gloopy alphas for the title. I looked in the Silhouette store first, they didn't have them, looked in a couple of SVG stores, no luck. Then I got sick with Meniere's and was sick in bed with vertigo when it suddenly occurred to me that I talk to one of the best artist around almost every day! At that time I could not write, so I asked my husband to send Melinda (Melin) Beltran of My Paper Crafting a message. He was writing her a message asking for drippy gooy alphas and at the same time telling me she wasn't going to understand what I wanted. Of course she wrote right back saying she knew exactly what I wanted and they would be ready by the time I was better and they were! So ladies, if there is a cutting file or digital stamp that you need, it is worthwhile to ask. Send Melin a message or send me a message and I will ask her for you.
Here is my layout. Please excuse the lighting . My photo box does not hold a full layout.

You are going to want these gooy drippy alphas. You can use them for Halloween, you could also use them for winter for words like snow and cold. I can see a lot of uses for these and you can purchase them HERE. The film strip and clapboard are taken from a mini album that the store sells, I plan to make the mini album later. You can purchase that HERE. I still need to add the pictures and perhaps some tickets to the bottom? But I think these will turn out to be fun pages. Please stop by Paper Crafting Inspirations to see the rest of the design teams work and to get your freebie, then play along with us!

This is just so different, unique, and fun! Wonderful job on it!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Chriss you are just too sweet! Thank you for sharing the story of the Alphas....It was really funny to have your darling hubby realize that us crafters have a language all our own....lol! I think your layout turned out spectacular! What a neat thing for your son and his girl to go to the original theater. I remember I was so scared of the original movie when I was a kid....lol! Of course it pales in comparison to what is "scarey" now! Thank you for sharing your wonderfully creative talents!!!!
