School Daze

Good Morning Friends and Welcome Visitors,

Our kids start back to school today!  Whoo hooo!  Of course, by kids, I mean the neighborhood kids.  My kids are grown and gone.  This is my favorite time of year.  I love how quiet the neighborhood becomes and my days seem to slow down.  I had lots of cards to make for my little friends, so here is the first one.

I used a sketch by Paper Play Sketches:

I used Silhouette Stitched nesting rectangles and cut them out on my Cameo.   What do you think?  I think the paper looks more torn than stitched!  Oh well, my birthday is September 11th and I have heard hints that I will be getting lots of stitched dies.  Hooray crafting presents!  Love them!

Here is my take on the sketch.  Isn't she fun?  I love the sentiment "I like big books and I can not lie"  So funny!

Here is a close-up of the digital stamp.

Recipe for this card:

  8. This is so cute!!!! I love the sentiment, and how it goes perfectly with the adorable image :) I like the effect that the die gave the paper, sort of a rough stitch...cool :) Thanks for playing along with us at CRAFT this week!
