No More Hello Kitty

Hello My Friends,

Did you have a good summer?

While I have been off, I have re-decorated my craft room (no more Hello Kitty) and I have taken some on-line courses on using Gelatos. I will show you that at a later date.

Today I would like to show you a decoration I made for my new craft room.  I have noticed that these hoops are very popular on Pin-interest and so inexpensive to make.  Warning, this is picture heavy.

I chose my paper, laid a 10" embroidery hoop on top of the paper and made a circle around the back side of the paper using red ink (you can use a pencil if you use light paper). So sorry for the shadows.

Cut around the outside of the red circle 1/4 inch.  Then snip along the 1/4" edge to make it easy to bend.

Attach the paper to the hoop without the screws using Mod Podge.  I used a paint brush to apply the Mod Podge.

Decorate as you like!

I put mine on the upper part of my new peg board (where it is too high for me to reach things) along with an embroidered hoop that Holly from Holly Craft Originals made me.  I like these so much, I think I will make a few more to put up there and around my craft room.

If you need a video to follow to learn how to make these, please go HERE.

I am entering my project into the following challenges:

Decorate To Celebrate - Challenge #108 - Anything Goes
The Sisters Of Craft (UK) - Sept. Anything Goes Challenge
Altered Eclectics (UK) - September

Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate all of your comments!

  5. Well, I am disappointed that Hello Kitty is gone from your craftroom. I'm a big fan of HK! She's so cheery! Your hoop is beautiful and I like the new owl theme of your craftroom. But I'm still disappointed about HK.
