One Stitch At A Time Challenge #239

Good Morning,

We have a new challenge over at One Stitch At A Time # 239 Anything Goes/Men.

I chose this very challenging digital stamp by Ike because I want to get my coloring skills up to peak performance again. After having shaky hands from shingles.

This digital stamp is called "Cowboy" and you can purchase it HERE.  I have to admit that it took me three tries to color the horse correctly; but if you love coloring like I do, you will enjoy this challenge!

I know I am dating myself now, but when I was growing up; we did not have air conditioning and when it just got too hot, Dad would take us to the movies and for 10 cents each we could stay at the movies all day.  There would be a ton of cartoons, then some westerns, then the feature film.  I really liked Dale Evens and Roy Rogers.  At the end of each movie, we got to sing "Happy Trails To You".

So years later, when I was a teenager, I was working in a Roy Rogers Restaurant and Roy himself came in!  He signed my hat!  Life is full of surprises!

Here is an Up-Close picture of the colored digital stamp:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

DL ART - #158 For A Man or Boy Ike's World Challenge - #39 - lyrics "Happy Trails To You"

Hugs,

  2. Hi Chriss,
Amazing coloring and a FANTASTIC card my friend!
I still watch rerun of The Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers. When I wake up int he middle of the night and cannot go to bed her in New York there is a channel that shows reruns and I do not miss it.
My sister jokes about this to our friends. They ask me if it's true that I still watch reruns of those 2 shows and I say yes. Still my favorites!
I hope that you are feeling better
Have a wonderful day my friend,

  3. Those 10 cents movies bring back a lot of good memories. I loved Dale and Roy too - and also Hopalong Cassidy! LOL!
Your coloring on the entire image is just fantastic. I think a horse would be the hardest to color and yet, you nailed it. Fabulous card Chriss!
