Earth Day

Good Morning My Friends & Welcome Visitors,

I have made a card for Earth Day.  I am so blessed to live on the Chesapeake Bay in a beautiful part of Maryland.  Yet every day I watch the trash pile up on the sides of the road.  I see people leave the beach and throw their trash out of their cars.  I see boaters throw their trash into our beautiful Chesapeake Bay.  I wonder how long we can go on like this?

When I was a young woman, I saw this tee-shirt and bought it for my husband.  It had an Indian saying on it.  "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children"

I decided to use the updated version of  that sentiment my sentiment says "Treat the earth well:it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children."  Just something to think about.  What do you want?  A clean car or a clean environment?  Can't you wait until you get to a gas station to throw you trash away properly?  What message are you sending to your children?  Okay, I will step down from my soap box now.

The little boy is an SVG file from SVG Cutting Files.  I wanted to make this a CAS card so as not to distract from the message.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafting From The Heart - Always Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Earth Day

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Be sure to stop in tomorrow when it is my turn to host 3GirlJam!

Hugs,
