Charlie Chaplin Cigar Box

Good morning my friends & Welcome Visitors,

Today I would like to show you a cigar box that I made as a gift for my friend Trish's birthday.  I made this last March, gave it to Trish and never remembered to blog it!  So better late than never I guess.  Trish is a huge Silent Film buff and she also likes sewing so I decided to combine these two loves into a gift for her.




Here is the top of the box.  I used a star die cut from the Silhouette store and heat embossed it to make it  shiny.  I also got the film strip die cut from the Silhouette store.  The Charlie Chaplin is a reproduction post card from e-bay; the initial charms are from Tim Holtz. 



Some Tim Holtz and film strip from the Silhouette store decorate the side.  I heat embossed the film strip to make it stand out.



I decorated the inside top of the box with more Charlie and some other stamps that are significant to Trish, then filled the box with antique buttons from 3GirlJam.
